"My third time in Maine, and I finally got to visit this gem in South Portland. For a small museum, they have a lot of items and information about the area and its history. The Docent was truly knowledgeable and answered many questions. The small gift shop offers local gifts and even kites to fly on the hill!"

"Maine was a bucket list state for us when we arrived to Portland, and the South Portland historical society really did a great job to give us much of the history of the area to appreciate what we were looking at. Seth was kind enough to give us all his favorite stories and tales of Portland, we got our history in take and was able to recall lots of fun facts as we explored the area. Highly recommend coming to South Portland Historical Society to get a great point of view historically of the land.
