"This was a great find! I'm pretty sure I was helped by the owner. I was wanting a seafood restaurant close to my hotel Holiday Inn Express-South Portland and I lucked upon this gem. I had a long day sightseeing and didn't feel like getting all dressed up for dinner. So I decided I would go here and order take. I got the crab roll with the salt and vinegar fries (highly recommend), a small clam chowder soup, and a slice of blueberry pie. The portion sizes were huge and everything was delicious, especially the clamp chowder soup! The restaurant had a hostess to seat you with a patio and a small bar. It definitely looked like a local favorite as their were two others who ordered takeout that they knew by name. The crowd was older (retirees) the day I visited. It was small and quaint. It reminded me of that restaurant in your home town that's always packed because the food is great-the restaurant itself isn't fancy but the food and service are amazing. Same goes for here! And the added perk of plenty of free parking, which in Maine is invaluable!! They also had local food products for sale-honey, maple syrup, etc. I purchased a whoopie pie, which was huge and delicious. I would definitely recommend you visit this restaurant! I also"

"Second time at Dock’s, came in at 3 p.m. and it wasn’t busy. We had the seafood chowder to start, and it was delicious with the perfect amount of seafood, thin broth, and quite filling even though the bowl seemed small. BF had the blackened haddock tacos; this was one of the best tacos. Well-executed and the flavors are unique and addictive. Then I had the 8oz fried whole belly clams, market price $40. See Pic. This was perfectly fried and satisfying; however, the price is just a bit much and the portions are good for me, kinda small. I’ve had a pint of the same clams in mid-coast Maine for $26. This serving wasn’t huge, so just be mindful when ordering as it’s just clams, nothing else for the price. Service was good, friendly, and fast. And if you’re in midcoast Maine, try Cameron’s Lobster House in Brunswick or Boothbay Lobster Wharf, as the pint of clams are less than $30."

"Looking for great seafood and this did not disappoint. We both got the lobster rolls, one with mayo and one with butter. Both very good. Also got the side of the home made chips. They were crispy, slightly salty and perfect. The place was just the right size, not to big and the staff very friendly. Great place to eat for locals or out of towners."
