"Great Location, but Breakfast Could Be Improved The hotel has a great location in Portland, and we appreciated the convenience. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience did not meet our expectations. There were very limited options for guests with dietary restrictions, such as myself who cannot have dairy, so we ultimately I decided not to eat there. The presentation could also use some attention. The serving pans looked quite worn and did not create a very inviting presentation. And the home fries seemed to have formed a little potato family of their own—they were all stuck together! It would have been nice to be able to serve ourselves an individual portion rather than having to separate the potatoes before breakfast. As they say, we eat with our eyes first! Considering the price of the hotel, I think investing in a couple of new serving pans and giving the breakfast presentation a little more attention would make a noticeable difference. Overall, the location was a plus, but the breakfast and service could definitely be improved."

"I just stayed at this hotel for a long weekend with my wife. We were in one of the balcony suites on the top floor which had an absolutely incredible view. The balcony was massive and very comfortable. The rest of the suite was great, no complaints whatsoever about the rooms. The service at the hotel was top notch as I would expect from a Hyatt. This will be the top of my list for hotels to pick from whenever I stay in Portland. "We stayed at the Hyatt during our wedding weekend and used them as our hotel room block. Almost all of our guests stayed in the hotel with us and I cannot recommend the Hyatt enough. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and the location is perfect. It is walkable to all of the best restaurants and bars in Portland. Evelyn, their sales coordinator, is incredible. She is on top of everything and allowed us to easily keep adding more and more rooms to our block as guests kept filling up the bookings. The hospitality was amazing, and they were able to give my husband and I a free room upgrade to a gorgeous suite with a balcony that came with a great view of downtown and the water and personalized it with a note, candy, and champagne. Instead of just a place to sleep, they truly made us feel special and welcome."
