Novel

"This is a great place to get coffee in the morning with comfortable seating. They have a limited menu and appear to be open in the evenings with alcohol beverages. There were games and books."

"Novel offers an exceptional experience regardless of the hour. It captures a distinct European charm, seamlessly transitioning from a bright daytime cafe to an intimate evening bar. I honestly can’t decide which side it does better. It’s easily my favorite coffee in Portland, roasted in-house and served in an incredibly comfortable atmosphere. The evening menu is equally impressive, featuring a unique drink selection that is an absolute must-try."

"A fantastically cozy little cafe/bar/bookstore. Meet with friends or sit solo and work on that book you're writing. The chai is spicy, the hot cocoa is balanced, and the pastries taste fresh. The roasting room is on display where you can watch them roast their coffee beans live. Milk alternatives are oat and coconut. Bathrooms are all-gendered, super clean, and offer menstrual supplies for any who need them."
