"A bookstore worth getting lost in, this is. 📚 The sign outside says, "Maine's oldest bookstore, today's newest books," and it perfectly sets the tone. Classic charm on the outside, with fresh discoveries waiting on every shelf. The selection is impressive, with everything from new releases and history to children's books, graphic novels, toys, puzzles, gifts, and some really unique notebooks. One of my favorite touches was the staff recommendation shelves. Each pick includes a handwritten note explaining why they loved the book, making it feel much more personal than a typical bookstore display. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Easy place to spend far more time than planned. A few photos couldn't capture it all. A return visit, this deserves."

"📚Lovely Bookshop - More than Just Books!📚 This bookshop is bigger than it looks! Genres are clearly marked by sections (everything from manga and D&D, to bargain books and adult nonfiction). There's a nice selection of cards, as well as gifts and toys for sale. The inside is quite literally wall-to-wall bookshelves, with books towering overhead. Any bibliophile will feel quite at home here and be able to spend a fair amount of time browsing. If you're visiting Portland, you can get a great souvenir (or commute-home book)."
