"95% of the staff have been wonderful, very polite and helpful, we did however run into one that was curt and dismissive. The room was very clean but had a musty smell. Location wise it's nicely in the Arts district but a bit of a walk to the bay. There's a wonderful bar on top of the hotel called Top of the East, great place for a drink and small plates."

"We recently completed an outstanding 6-night stay at the Westin Portland Harbor View, and we cannot recommend it enough! Prospective guests should completely ignore the negative reviews from overly pampered, entitled travelers. This historic property delivers an incredible experience if you come with the right expectations. The hotel sits right in the charming Arts District, a pleasant 1.5-mile stroll from the harbor. While some reviewers complain about seeing unhoused individuals nearby, anyone who travels knows that this is a reality in every city. It did not impact our stay whatsoever. Instead, we loved the unbeatable location, which places you just steps away from dozens of amazing local restaurants. Future guests must remember that this beautiful building is over 100 years old. Despite its historic bones, everything functions perfectly—especially the showers, which provided awesome, plentiful hot water every single day. The hotel serves outstanding food, and the quality impressed us throughout our nearly week-long stay. The true heart of this hotel lies in its staff. The service blew us away and made our stay over-the-top amazing. If I managed this hotel, I would give a delightful bonus to these incredible team members who went above and beyond for us: James the concierge; Kirsten and Isabella the food and beverage managers; as well as Veljko, Mihaillo, October, Sarah, and Mario. This team knows how to take care of guests. We will absolutely return to the Westin Portland Harbor View the next time we visit Maine!"

The hotel offered comfortable rooms, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The location was convenient for exploring Portland, and our family especially enjoyed the beautiful views and overall hospitality. A wonderful stay and a great choice for a family getaway."
