Bier Cellar

"Extremely knowledgeable staff and very helpful. Definitely a one stop shop for anything local in Maine amongst there brewing scene. I easily spent over $150 within five minutes as they quickly knew exactly where to find their selections. Things they didn't have they had an actual schedule for when they where expecting a delivery or tentative arrival. If you're looking for something particular and ask them nicely there is a strong chance they will be able to hold things for you as well! Their selections of beer each have a very descriptive card accompanying. This includes a flavor index, their personal thoughts and tastes, and many other useful information. Seriously if you're looking for a great selection of beer pop in and you won't be disappointed!"

"A must visit place if you are in Portland and are in hurry or not. They have the pulse on local brews. The staff is really helpful and the collection of beers is astounding. You will find beers from all the local breweries and some of them are hidden gems. And the best part is you can mix and match your beers!"

"It was my first time there. I was amazed at the selection of beers especially Maine beers but I have to admit (and I don't blame the Bier Cellar) that I can't believe they want $18 for a four pack of cans. It makes me incredulous I think, or at least a bit more jaded. I felt like I lost just a little bit of innocence that day. Anyway, I was forced by inclination to head to the rums where I bumped into an amazing employee/owner? I don't know, I didn't bring my good glasses so I couldn't read his name tag. I told him I was looking for Jamaican rum and he proceeded to point out five or six spread out through the whole aisle. This person (notice I didn't say "man")was extremely knowledgeable and I will be back. Oh, yes I will be back."
